I finally went to see the last harry Potter movie last night, and as it was the last of an era I wanted to do up my nails. Sadly, I was in a hurry so result was a bit bleh, but here it is.
Please disregard "crunch" on Slytherin finger, and the red streaks on Hufflepuff :-( As I said, i was in a real hurry, so had no time to redo, or really wait for it to dry completely.) These are CG Jolly Holly and Depend 047 silver glitter for Slytherin, CG Lemon Fizz and Milani Black Magic for Hufflepuff, CG First Mate and CG Goin' my way for Ravenclaw and finally CG Phat Santa and Depend 045 gold glitter for Gryffindor. If nothing else this exercise taught me I need more time, a better yellow and a more complete bronze polishes. But it was a fun experiment.

Halloween manicure!
I think I just found this years Halloween manicure. I felt I had to do something more to the Papaya punch from yesterday. I thought about adding glitter, but instead decided on a black crackle instead. This is China Glaze Black mesh, with my trusty Seche Vite on top.
Pretty neat I think. Opinions?

China Glaze ~ Papaya punch
This is another polish from CG's summer collection. Papaya punch is a medium orange, reminds me somewhat of the orange part of candy corn.
This is two coats with my beloved Seche Vite on top. Great formula, dried really quick and was easy to apply. The messy application is all my fault. However, for some reason I'm just not feeling it. It may be that orange just isn't my kind of color. In theory, I'm loving it. In real life on my nails? Not so much.

China Glaze ~ Señorita Bonita
Here is Señorita Bonita from this years summer collection. Gorgeous purple with shimmer and lots of coppery flakes. I think I'm in love with this color.
First three are taken indoors, just out of the sun, last one is in direct sunlight.
OK, I said I love the color, and I do. However I'm not exactly sold on the formula. Above is 3 coats with SV on top, and I can still see some VNL when I hold my hand to the sun. Also, it was pretty runny, I kept getting big blobs of polish on the brush, even with careful dipping and wiping off excess on the bottleneck. However, considering the massive gorgeouseness of it, I can definately live with those flaws.
Anyone else tried this? Had the same experience with application?

Color Club ~ Otherworldly
Otherworldly is from Color Club's Starry temptress collection, which consists of 6 different colours plus a glitter topcoat. Otherworldly is a gorgeous medium blue, and like all the polishes in this collection, it is packe with "chunky" holo glitter. The glitter doesn't really sparkle, but it gives a really interesting structure, and it's surprisingly smooth.
These pics are taken in REALLY bright sunlight, so they do look a tad washed out, at least to me, but you should be able to see the non-sparkly glitter. I was surprised about how thin this polish was. I've worn Wink, wink, twinkle (WWT) earlier, and that one was almost a one-coater. On this one I needed 3 coats, and in bright light I still had some VNL. It dries very fast, and almost completely matte so I have a coat of Seche Vite on top. I generally have a problem with CC polishes chipping very fast for me. This one has now surprised me by lasting to day 3 before I see the first chip. Anyone else have this problem, or any good hints as to how to avoid it?
I love the colour! My general CC chipping problem is something I can easily forgive. However I think WWT still is my fave from this collection. In my stash I still have Glitter Envy to try, and that is one I really look forwar to. I love green polishes.

OPI ~ Mermaid's tears
Mermaid's tears is from OPI's Stranger Tides collection, released together with the Pirates of the Caribbean movie of the same name. I bought just 2 of them for now, Mermaid's Tears and Skull & Glossbones and here is the first one.
The color isn't completely accurate, it's less blue and more green. I'm still learning how to use my camera, so have patience :-) It's a dusty mint-ish color, reminds me a bit of seafoam. It's absolutely gorgeous. Plain creme, I'm usually more of a glitter gal, but I really love this one. Weirdly enough it matches almost perfectly with the cleanroom suit I use at work. Can't wait for the next time we are going to show people around our lab...
Application was a dream. Above is tree coats with Seche Vite on top, could probably easily have sufficed with two but I was sloppy. The brush is so wide I can almost cover my pinky with one stroke.
